API announces strategic partnership with the Brazilian Petroleum and Gas Institute
The American Petroleum Institute (API) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Brazilian Petroleum and Gas Institute (Instituto Brasileiro de Petróleo e Gás — IBP). This agreement formalizes an important alliance aimed at strengthening collaboration and technical exchanges between both organizations and our members. “As the world's premier standards-setting organization for the natural gas and oil industry, API is honored to build on our long relationship and embark on this new era of our cooperative relationship with IBP,” API Senior Vice President for Global Industry Services Anchal Liddar said. "This alliance solidifies our shared vision of strengthening Brazil’s energy infrastructure.” “We’re looking forward to building on the success of our recent collaboration with API,” IBP President and CEO Roberto Furian Ardenghy said. “API’s expertise is invaluable as we jointly advance towards safer and more efficient energy practices. This MOU represents our commitment to pursue excellence and innovation in every aspect of our operations.” Our announcement underscores a commitment to cooperation, demonstrated through numerous joint events held together, including high-level discussions between API executives and Brazilian industry leaders in Brazil, hosted by IBP last year. The MOU prioritizes several focus areas of cooperation, including communication, standards, collaboration on joint forums and activities aimed at enhancing industry knowledge and practices, and the joint promotion of industry events and training programs. Collectively, these areas are meant to foster more meaningful exchanges between American and Brazilian energy professionals. |
