Australia's QCLNG plant maintenance period shortened
1/18/2023
(Reuters) - The maintenance period at the Shell-operated Queensland Curtis liquefied natural gas (QCLNG) plant will be shortened to Jan. 19 from a previous date of Jan. 21, according to a notice on the Australian Energy Market Operator's (AEMO) website.
One of the plant's two LNG trains will be shut during the maintenance period, said the notice.
Shell had shut down the LNG train at the eastern Australian plant after finding a minor issue with a pipe during an inspection.
Maintenance at the plant has been ongoing since Dec. 7, based on notices from AEMO, and maintenance periods have been extended several times.
