Burckhardt awarded long-term service agreement for 9 LNG carriers
Burckhardt Compression and an emerging leader in the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) shipping industry signed a five-year service agreement covering nine LNG carriers with Laby®-GI Compressors onboard. Building on their close and long-term partnership, the two companies jointly developed a lifecycle concept based on the operational experience gained in the field.
This marks a major milestone in Burckhardt Compression’s push to offer lifecycle solutions tailored to customer needs. The new long-term service agreement (LTSA) will bring considerable added value to the customer's operation, such as improved lifecycle costs, operational efficiency and accurate preventive maintenance.
“This LTSA is a clear expression of our customer’s long-term confidence in our ability to deliver reliable, tangible value to their business. We look forward to deepening our partnership over time,” says Rainer Dübi, President, Burckhardt Compression Services Division.
The scope of the LTSA covers scheduled maintenance parts of the compressors, dedicated supervision, preventive maintenance via remote diagnostics, field services, and project management over a period of five years. Compressor maintenance will be carried out during vessel operation for maximum efficiency. All nine LNG carriers are ME-GI powered and equipped with Laby®-GI Compressors for BOG management.
