The two-day program starts on Wednesday morning with opening remarks from H.E. Yiorgos Lakkotrypis, Minister, Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Republic of Cyprus, who will be followed by keynote speaker Carlo Vito Russo.
Mr. Russo is Executive Vice President for Europe & Russia for upstream activities, his appointment being made in August 2018. Mr. Russo joined Eni in 1988 as Drilling Engineer and throughout his career he has worked in many different locations including Italy, the United States, Nigeria, Indonesia, Angola and the UK.
He has held a number of managerial positions in Italy and internationally: District Manager for Sicily and Southern Italy, Managing Director of Eni's Nigerian Companies NAOC, NAE and AENR, Managing Director of Eni Indonesia and Managing Director of Eni Angola.
Before taking up his current role, Mr. Russo was EVP for Italy & Southern Europe Region between 2015 and 2017 and EVP for the Northern Europe & Russia Region in 2017.
