Poland to launch tender for LNG terminal development
11/25/2018
WARSAW, (Reuters) - Poland is planning to call in December a tender procedure for the expansion of its LNG terminal in Northern Poland, state-controlled Polskie LNG on Friday.
“After the expansion, the terminal’s regasification capacity will be increased and the range of transshipment services will be extended in order to maximize the plant’s potential,” the company that operates the terminal said in the statement.
The terminal is designed to aid Poland’s efforts to lessen reliance on Russian gas. (Reporting by Anna Koper; Writing by Joanna Plucinska; Editing by Marcin Goclowski)
