Valmet will supply automation for Gasum's LNG operations in the Nordic countries. The order is included in Valmet's Q2 2017 orders received. The value of the order will not be disclosed.
"The successful basic engineering phase convinced us of Valmet's ability to fulfill our needs for collecting data centrally for our other supporting systems, like the energy management and ERP systems," said Pertti Norjos, Chief Information Officer, Gasum Group.
Valmet will supply Gasum with connecting systems, operations management and a centralized database.
At the same time, Valmet will provide basic engineering for Gasum's biogas plant automation in Finland and Sweden. The target is to engineer an automation solution with which the company's biogas plants, too, can be controlled centrally.
