The cargo from the Petronas Floating LNG Satu (PFLNG Satu), off the coast of Bintulu in east Malaysia, was fully loaded onto the LNG carrier Seri Camellia on April 1, and is expected to sail for a South Asian market, according to a statement by Petronas.
"This successful first cargo milestone further bolsters our reputation as a reliable and leading global LNG player and one-stop LNG solutions provider," said chief executive Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin in the statement.
Reuters had reported in late March that Petronas was about to export its first cargo from the PFLNG, and that the shipment was heading for South Korea.
The cargo is the world's first LNG produced from a floating platform.
