JGC awarded front-end engineering services contract for Woodfibre LNG project

The JGC Group has been awarded a contract to provide front-end engineering and design (FEED) services for the Woodfibre LNG project in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada.
JGC's scope includes FEED development and an EPC proposal for the new 2.1 MMtpy natural gas liquefaction plant and export facility. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
The Woodfibre LNG project is a mid-scale natural gas liquefaction facility located on a brownfield site on the shores of Howe Sound in the District of Squamish. The proposed facility will receive natural gas from a FortisBC natural gas pipeline and will be powered with electricity from BC Hydro.
