Gazprom, Schneider Electric sign technical, scientific agreement

Sergey Khomyakov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee at Gazprom, and Clemens Blum, Member of the Executive Board and Executive Vice President of Industry Business at Schneider Electric, entered into an agreement for scientific & technical cooperation and partnership at the 6th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.
The Agreement provides for the increased cooperation in efforts to integrate solutions provided by Schneider Electric, including the introduction of smart technologies at Gazprom's facilities, as well as energy efficiency and security.
In addition, the parties will jointly develop and use scientific and technical products, interact in the area of industrial safety, as well as professional development and retraining of personnel.
To implement the agreement, Gazprom and Schneider Electric will establish a Coordinating Board and develop a program for scientific and technical cooperation.
