Egypt launches tender for third floating regasification unit
6/30/2016
(Reuters) - Egypt's EGAS has launched a tender to rent a third floating and storage regasification unit (FSRU) with a capacity of 750 MMcfd, an official told Reuters.
The official said the tender was launched on Tuesday and would close in two weeks.
The FSRUs allow energy-starved Egypt to import liquefied natural gas and convert it to natural gas to feed its power grid.
