Global Projects Data - August Update
At the time of this publication, Gulf Energy Information’s Global Energy Infrastructure database was tracking > 310 active gas processing/LNG projects around the world. With nearly 30% market share, Asia continues to be the leader in active natural gas projects. For several years, many Asian nations have invested in new natural gas processing capacity and infrastructure to lower emissions and strive toward net-zero goals. Several Asian nations—led by China and India—are investing heavily in new LNG import/regasification facilities, along with additional infrastructure to move natural gas inland to demand centers.
Asia is followed by the U.S. This region continues to build additional capacity for both natural gas processing (e.g., treating, separation) and liquefaction. Asia and the U.S. account for > 50% of active gas processing/LNG projects globally.
