Mexico’s AMIGO LNG Signs 20-Year Supply Deal with Abu Dhabi’s IRH

International Resources Holding (IRH), part of 2PointZero Group, has signed a 20-year agreement to purchase 1 MMtpy of LNG from Mexico’s AMIGO LNG export project in Guaymas, Sonora. Deliveries are set to begin in the second half of 2028, once the facility becomes operational. The project’s Pacific coast location enables direct shipments to Asian markets, avoiding reliance on the Panama Canal and offering a more efficient and secure supply route.

The deal supports IRH’s strategy to diversify its LNG sourcing and strengthen its global trading portfolio, while also positioning Mexico as a growing LNG export hub for Asia. CEO Ali Rashed AlRashdi emphasized that the agreement enhances supply resilience, ensures competitive pricing, and contributes to global energy security by leveraging a structurally advantageous export route.
