Indonesia's Donggi Senoro says it will fulfil overseas LNG contracts amid calls to prioritize local sales

Indonesian liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer PT Donggi Senoro LNG said on Friday that it has not yet received any official request to divert its gas cargoes to meet a government request to favor the domestic market because of a global supply crunch.
Following are some details:
- LNG output from PT Donggi Senoro LNG has been contracted by Japanese and South Korean buyers until at least 2027, and the company aims to fulfil the contracts, company spokesperson Adhika Paramanandana told reporters.
- Beyond 2027, once the LNG contracts end, the company will adhere to government requests if they were asked to supply more LNG to the domestic market, he said.
- In 2025, Donggi Senoro supplied eight cargoes of LNG to the domestic market on the request of the government, around a fifth of its total output. The company typically sells only one cargo to domestic buyers per year.
- The company typically produces between 30 and 40 LNG cargoes annually.
Indonesia's government has asked oil and gas producers to give priority to domestic buyers because of the tight supplies, and said it will not issue export recommendations for LNG this year, with the exception of cargoes that have already been contracted.
